With DAMO Hand Profilers, an operator with little or no fabrication skills can easily create a perfect edge profile of Ogee, Bullnose, Bevel or Roundovers. The DAMO Profilers may be used on the materials as follows: Granite, Engineered Stone, Porcelain, Marble and Limestone. Can be used on concrete also, but life will be short due to the abrasive nature of concrete.

DAMO Profilers can be used on any polishers or grinders with 5/8"-11 threaded spindles. A center water-feed polisher with 3500 RPM is recommended for the application. Optimal speed 3,500- 4,000 RPM. Adopting the latest “Vacuum Brazed Technology”, our profilers give you aggressive grinding action and longevity, without losing the shape of the profile, unlike the Sintered profilers on the market.

Press nylon guide down firmly on top of material and turn on polisher. Always apply sufficient downward pressure to prevent Nylon guide from spinning. (Nylon Guide should not "Spin Freely" during operation). Purpose of nylon guide is to assure the Profiler remains at the proper height so the profiled edge remains straight. The ball bearing/rotary touch within the Profiler will control the depth of grinding action to ensure the profiled edge remains straight and consistent. Application is complete when the operator can no longer hear grinding noise, and runoff water is clear.

Position 2 profiler of medium diamond grit is always recommended to be used after coarse Position 1 for better polishing result and higher efficiency.

I had been putting bull noses on granite tiles using a stone. It worked, but took time and care. Polishing aside, each side of a twelve inch tile took about twenty minutes to round over. Using this bit, I am able to do a twelve inch side in around minute.

I use a Milwaukee variable speed angle grinder at just above the slowest speed setting. Of course, I use lots of water to keep the bit cool, to prolong its use.

I've only rounded over about sixty linear feet so far, but the bit has performed fine to this point (no problems) and appears as though it will see a lot more use before it's retired.

Just for reference:

To bring the tile back to factory sheen, I run a strip of duct tape just back of the edge of the round-over, to protect the polished portion of the tile, then run through these grits: (1) 200; (2) 400; (3) 800; (4) 1,000; (5) 1,500; (5) 3,000
great quality, gets the job done well!
